Model North Atlantic Treaty Organization
Carleton University’s annual Model NATO is a long-term client, with annual photography, print, and branding requests. Over the course of my engagement with Carleton University, I’ve taken thousands of photos of participants, organizers, and their esteemed guests (including the Hon. Harjit Sajjan, Minister of Defence).
A student-run initiative sponsored by the Normal Patterson School of International Affairs and NATO, MNATO has a limited budget and a need to present itself as professional. It’s been a genuine pleasure to work with the MNATO team on showcasing their efforts.
Chris did a fantastic job in developing a clean, professional, and dynamic visual brand for Carleton Model NATO 2014, including a new logo for the event. The new look Chris developed was a pillar of the communications strategy to revitalize Carleton Model NATO and re-establish the conference as a premier event in Canadian security studies.
I hired Chris Tomalty to be our conference photographer. Once I hired him, he clearly communicated his approach to photographing a conference and what his timelines are for taking and publishing photos. During the conference, Chris arrived early, was prepared, and always adjusted to quickly changing demands. Chris knew how to cover the conference effectively to produce a breadth of professional and high-quality photos. After the conference, Chris delivered his final product of well photographed and professionally developed photos ahead of schedule. I would gladly hire Chris Tomalty again.
